Matching Grants

To recognize and celebrate the efforts of the inspiring kids who complete our program, we are working with area businesses to offer matching grant opportunities to schools who meet the following criteria:

Criteria:

  1. The students complete all four parts of the InspiringKids program.
  2. The student group leading the initiative invites and includes the greater school community to participate in the Green Jobs Day and the selection of the organization(s) to support.
  3. At least 50% of the funds raised go to support organizations in the schools local/regional community.
  4. The school is able to recognize the support of the local/regional businesses that make these matching grants possible.
  5. The students complete and submit the surveys at the beginning and end of the program.

Note: In order to join the InspiringKids community students simply need to identify and meet a need(s) in their communities- regardless of the community they choose or how they choose to meet the need or whether or not they invite the greater school community to participate. Meaning, if a the kids decide to run a bake sale as a way to raise money for Haiti, we can offer the community pages and access to our tools and resources, but they will not be eligible for a matching grant because they did not run a Green jobs Day as a way to raise money. Furthermore, the money raised went to the International community rather than their local community.
