This program is an excellent way for children to see how they can have an impact on their world - locally, nationally and globally. They are very excited to receive the thank you letters and see how a modest amount of money makes a real difference as well as see the beauty of the flowers they have planted.

5 Steps to Program Success
- Choose a Sponsorship for Stewardship blueprint to monetize. Students choose a blueprint from our database, giving them flexible instructions, templates and tools for their fundraiser and related environmental stewardship project. We regularly add complexity to our blueprint library to provide variety and breadth in the potential activities.
- Run the fundraising drive. Students and their families reach out to friends, neighbors and their community to sponsor their participation in an activity - such as planting a garden or cleaning a trail. Sponsors can conveniently make donations via our website.
- Complete the environmental project. Students complete their activity during a service day held at their school, which usually includes: the service, related discussion and reflection on what they have done and why. Each school can tailor the activity to meet their needs. We provide the framework and offer planning tools, best practices, and a password-protected site space for recording and storing school information.
- Allocate the philanthropy dollars. A school's philanthropy account is funded with 30% of the overall proceeds raised. The money is held in the InspiringKids account until students choose where funds will be spent, giving them time to consider different communities (local, national and global communities) and causes (the environment, education, poverty, etc.) to support. InspiringKids will distribute funds, collect feedback and calculate the impact of all dispersals.
- Plan for next year. Students, parents and teachers plan for the next fundraising event: our program is designed to be implemented year-after-year. The learning benefits to students build over time and annual participation maximizes the benefits for all Programs vary from school to school, and change depending on the leadership, interests and priorities of parents, teachers and students.
