Helping out with the bulb-a-thon introduced me to many people in town, from school and town employees to parents, children, and teachers. It was nice to volunteer in a way that would help me know more about the town where I live. One of the best things about it is that the children will enjoy the fruits of their labor in the spring when the daffodils bloom. Not only will they see beautiful flowers, but hopefully they will feel a sense of stewardship of a common space.

Our Approach

InspiringKids.org is a 501c3 dedicated to developing our future philanthropists by providing hands-on opportunities for students to practice identifying and meeting needs in their communities. Furthermore, our program unites each school's greater community in ways that move everyone's interests forward in a meaningful way.

Doing good and having fun

The InspiringKids' philanthropy program motivates kids at an impressionable age to adopt a conscientious view of their communities and environment. In particular, we strive for our program to:

Be appealing to children, while delivering educational value
Offer opportunities to experience the joy in helping others
Empower youths to actively identify and meet the needs of those less fortunate
Inspire children to complete "green jobs" that further benefit their communities
Nurture realistic ideas that can be shared across communities
Bring together a school's broader community to support students' efforts

Our program helps kids recognize the impact of their actions, take responsibility for improving their world and look for opportunities to effect change over their lifetime.
